Great illustration! At first look he looks like an ancient warrior. But, when I studied it longer the sword looks like a chainsaw, and the head dress reminds me of a mad max villain.

Indeed Warhammer 40k can be a bit anachronistic, where troops packing all kinds of heat go medieval with melee weapons, the setting more akin to space fantasy rather than military sci-fi.

Beautiful work. Regarding anachronisms of Warhammer 40,000, of course human kind has never actually faced a foe like the Genestealers in reality so who's to say what is effective when it comes to a sentient, tough to kill, highly mobile enemy that is exclusively hand to hand. But who cares!? This is good stuff, thanks for showing [though I recognize I am two years late in the comment.]
