The Greater Good Falters by MajesticChicken The Greater Good Falters by MajesticChicken
Colored up this explosive pic of Tau forces trying to stem the tide of Tyranids. Keen-eyed folks might notice red spores in the air, one of the symptoms of Tyrannoformation.

this is one of the only books that have tyranids and its not even fully based on it, i wish they could write a book based on a tyranids onslaught and hopefully they will win

Giant Malanthrope, or CTHULHU? Either way at this distance, things don't look too good for the Tau.

The awkward moment when a great plan turns against you in a matter of minutes. And then your whole species gets utterly annihilated!

An enite hive fleet was reported to have arrived in the dead center of Tau space. The Imperium will not have to worry about the Tau ever again.

They lack the numbers, the fleet size, and the worlds The Imperium has. They also lack any Exterminatus Fleets as far as my knowledge leads me to believe. They might survive, but they wouldn't ever be able to return to their former strength.

GW is not going to genocide a race out of the fluff and the associated loss of sales. Especially a new race.

Plus, the first Eye of Terror world campaign was such a sham...I gave up on GW then.

Realistically, I don't think anyone would stand against a full Hive Fleet anyway, besides maybe the assembled Necron. But then we'd all be forced to play Tyranid and that's boring.

I don't use a tablet, but if I did, I would use a Wacom tablet. If you're just starting out you don't need a big one, start with one of the smaller versions which are pretty affordable.

Ah well you see I only colored these pictures, and coloring requires far less precision than sketching and rendering.

I would look at other artists you admire and replicate their efforts just to get a feel for it. I would also really work on shading, as awesome shadow work would immeasurably improve your drawings.

That, my friend, is a Bio Titan - The largest creature in the 40k Universe. It not only recycles corpses into biomass, it is also capable of decimating entire armies on its own! It's also one of my personal favorites.

The name escapes me, but I believe it's role is to pick up corpses and recycle them as biomass for the Hive Mind.

funny how in 40k art the tau always get owned cause the battles depicted have to close range so that both sides can fit into the frame. Nids FTW!

I've only seen ONE picture that depicts the kroot actually doing their job and fighting the close combat for the tau. And that's against the guard! The most useless, chance-less force to field against the tau. Why are there so many idiot commanders in the Tau empire!?
