Warhammer ColorizationsCommentsYou've got some really fantastic stuff here. Warhammer's awesome! (I'm particularly fond of the Sister of Battle faction)
Thanks! I like the SoB as well, not as much as the Dark Eldar or Chaos, but still, they have a nice gothic aesthetic going on.
There is some stunning work in here. There are some pieces that are not nearly as good as others, but that is largely dependent on the source pictures: the darker rendered originals obviously don't take so well to your almost 'water colour' style of painting, but the effect on some of the lighter works, such as by Adrian Smith with his highly sketchy style really do benefit from your colourings- the detail that gets lost in greyscale is given clarity and form without compromising the fundamental emotive mutability of it (oooh, aren't i Brian Sewell today
Thanks very much, you have given me the most articulate response to my work I have seen in a long while, and it's interesting you should note that it seems a bit like water color, as I've heard the same in real life, even though I didn't set out trying to emulate that medium.
I googled Brian Sewell, it is hilarious watching him give his commentary, he's so affected, would love to see him in a battle of the wits with Stephen Fry. |
